Picture the Homeless Oral History Project
Supported by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, this oral history project with the goal to record unique life histories of Picture the Homeless. This project emerged from a recognition by the members, staff and board of Picture the Homeless of the need to document the work of the organization as a strategy to orient new members and staff coming into the work, as well as to share lessons learned with other grass roots organizing efforts; particularly those led by homeless people. In 2018-19, a web-based repository will be created for the six new interviews conducted as well as the existing seventeen interviews, incorporating the organizational archive.
